Missing part or all of a tournament
Kyujo means that a wrestler is absent from competition. The absence may begin before a tournament or after the wrestler has already completed several bouts.
When a scheduled wrestler withdraws, the next opponent normally receives a default win called fusensho. The absent wrestler receives the corresponding default loss. If the withdrawal is announced before a matchup is made, there may be no opponent and no default result for that day.
A wrestler can return later in the same tournament, although that is not always medically practical. SumoNerd separates absences from ordinary wins and losses so a record shows which bouts were actually contested.
