The official reason a bout ended
A kimarite records how the winning wrestler defeated the opponent. Familiar examples include yorikiri, a frontal force out with a belt grip; oshidashi, a push out without a maintained belt grip; and uwatenage, an overarm throw.
The credited technique describes the finish, not every action that led to it. A long belt battle and a short charge can both end in yorikiri if the final winning action fits that definition.
